CD Didot

This is a CD case I made for the font Didot. The case folds up into one square. I created a mascot for the typeface using the actual Didot typeface for this piece. This was all done using Illustrator.

Book cover and spreads

This is a book cover and spreads for the book "Beyond the Shadows". The book cover is done using Photoshop and a picture of me that I turned into a silhouette. The spreads were done using Illustrator and they are designed to reflect the personality of character that the chapter is about. Logan is a strong and brave warrior who is very honest, Dorian can see into the future and he gets more and more eccentric as the book progresses until he finally goes completely crazy, and Momma K is an old prostitute that is the leader of the underworld so she is very hard to figure out and the characters never know if she's manipulating them or not.

Psi

This is a series depicting the Greek letter Psi. Two are done with the symbols being prominent, one with the display type being prominent, and one with the text type being prominent. These are done using Illustrator.

Printing in Germany

This is a 4 page spread using stock images to create a text book entry. I used In Design for this project.

The World of Manga

This project I titled "The World of Manga". I took images from the web and made a collage out of them for both the outside and the inside. The inside has pieces cut out and placed at varying depths to give this piece a nice 3 dimensional feel.

Creative Resume

This is my creative Resume that I created as a DVD cover. I chose a DVD cover because I like to watch DVDs but also because it was practical, I could put a normal resume inside as well as a CD containing images of my work. This was done in Photoshop.

Brochure / Rack card

This is a brochure and rack card designed to entice people to visit Belize. There are a lot of Mayan ruins in Belize so I made these look like there was an ancient temple sitting on the top. These were done in Illustrator.

Tabetai

This was a menu I created for a fake Japanese restaurant called Tabetai. I made it into a samurai flag to give it a Japanese feel and the purple flower up top was designed to look like one of the family crests one would find on these flags. This was done using Illustrator.

AIGA poster

This was a poster done for the AIGA design conference. I used my shower curtain for the background and hand drew the letters. Then I colored and placed the letters in Photoshop.

De-motivational poster

This was an anti-study poster. It was designed to remind people of all the fun things they could be doing instead of studying. The images are loosely drawn to give off and fun and playful feeling and this was done using Illustrator.

HP+

These are posters I did for a made up soft drink called HP+. I was targeting this towards gamers so I went with an old school video game feel for these posters. These are done in Illustrator.

Movie Poster

This was a movie poster I did for Star Wars using only type. I used the pend tool in Illustrator to trace images of the ships and the Death Star and then I typed along those paths to shape them with text.
